Kondo is a unified inbox for direct messages, built for people who do business in their DMs, including sales teams, recruiters, founders, coaches, investors, and creators. It started as a fix for the LinkedIn inbox and now covers LinkedIn and WhatsApp on every plan, layering an email-style workflow on top of each platform with labels, split inboxes, snooze, reminders, snippets, notes, and keyboard shortcuts. Messages are read inside the user's own logged-in session on their own computer, so Kondo never handles passwords, and the company states that message content is not stored on its servers, only organizational data such as labels and reminders. Work conversations, along with their notes and labels, can be synced selectively to HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio, Clarify, Notion, Google Sheets, or custom webhooks, while personal chats stay out of the CRM. Kondo deliberately does not automate sending, and its MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor search chats and prepare drafts that the user reviews before anything goes out.

Features

  • Keyboard-First Inbox: Shortcuts for search, archive, labels, snippets, reminders, and notes let users move through DMs without the mouse and work toward inbox zero.
  •
  • Labels and Split Inboxes: Chats can be tagged by client, deal, or project, and each label gets its own list to work through one at a time.
  •
  • Snooze, Reminders and Notes: Conversations can be cleared and resurfaced when follow-up is due, with person-level notes kept beside the thread.
  •
  • Snippets and Voice Note Transcripts: Saved replies with placeholders are one keystroke away, and voice notes are transcribed automatically on every platform.
  •
  • Selective CRM Sync: Chosen work chats sync with their notes and labels to HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio, Clarify, Notion, Google Sheets, or webhooks, with personal chats excluded.
  •
  • MCP Server for AI Agents: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or other MCP clients can search, read, label, set reminders, and draft replies, while sending stays with the user.

Pricing

Kondo prices per user, with both LinkedIn and WhatsApp included on every plan:

  • Basic: $28 per user per month, billed annually. WhatsApp and LinkedIn inboxes, unlimited labels, unlimited snippets, and voice notes.
  •
  • Business: $36 per user per month, billed annually. Adds the Sales Navigator inbox, CRM integrations, analytics, and MCP access.
  •
  • Enterprise: $52 per user per month, billed annually. Adds unlimited sync destinations, help setting up CRM sync, Okta SSO, and VIP support.
  •

Annual billing saves 20 percent against monthly rates. There is no free plan, but every plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee with a full refund if the product is not a fit.

Pros

  • Speed Through Shortcuts: Users quoted on the company's site describe clearing DMs far faster, with one reporting at least 30 minutes saved each day.
  •
  • Fewer Missed Follow-Ups: Reminders and snooze bring conversations back when they need attention, so warm leads do not go cold in a crowded inbox.
  •
  • Account-Safe Design: Kondo works inside the user's own session, never sees passwords, and does not automate, avoiding the behaviour most likely to trigger platform restrictions.
  •
  • Privacy-Conscious Architecture: Message content stays on the user's computer, with only organizational data held on Kondo's servers.
  •
  • Strong Extension Rating: The Chrome Web Store listing holds a 5.0 average across 26 ratings with around 8,000 users.
  •
  • Controlled AI Agent Access: MCP lets agents work from locally stored chats and leave drafts for approval rather than acting on the messaging platforms directly.
  •

Cons

  • No Outreach Automation: Kondo deliberately does not send sequences or automate messaging, so teams running LinkedIn campaigns need a separate tool.
  •
  • Per-Seat Cost for an Inbox Layer: At $28 to $52 per user per month on annual terms, costs add up for larger teams, particularly next to the free native inboxes it sits on.
  •
  • CRM Sync Gated to Business: The Basic plan includes no CRM integrations, analytics, or MCP access.
  •
  • Uneven Integration Coverage: Salesforce, Attio, and Clarify sync LinkedIn only, while WhatsApp sync is limited to HubSpot, Notion, Google Sheets, and webhooks.
  •
  • More Platforms Not Yet Self-Serve: iMessage, Telegram, Instagram, Signal, X, and Messenger are listed but route to a contact form rather than being available to switch on.
  •
  • No Free Plan: Evaluation starts with a paid subscription backed by the 14-day refund guarantee rather than a free tier
