Scrap.io is a maps scraping tool that turns Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Bing Maps listings into exportable B2B lead lists. It targets local businesses that rarely appear on LinkedIn, covering more than 4,000 business categories across 195 countries, and returns names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, websites, social profiles, ratings, and review counts. Searches run by city, county, region, or whole country, or can be drawn directly on the map as a radius or custom polygon, then filtered by criteria such as presence of a website, phone number, email, rating, or social accounts. Results export to CSV and Excel, and the same data is reachable through a REST API and an MCP server that lets AI assistants search and export listings in natural language. The company states that its database is updated continuously and that it collects only publicly available business data, in line with GDPR and CCPA.

Features

  • Three-Source Map Extraction: Listings are pulled from Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Bing Maps rather than a single source.
  •
  • Geographic Targeting: Searches run by city, county-level division, state-level division, or entire country, depending on the plan.
  •
  • Geo Search by Shape: A radius or custom polygon can be drawn on the map to cover neighbourhoods, industrial zones, or areas that cross administrative boundaries.
  •
  • Result Filtering: Lists can be narrowed by website, phone, mobile, email, rating, review count, and social profile presence, with criteria combined.
  •
  • REST API and MCP Server: Data is available programmatically, and the MCP server connects the database to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible client.
  •
  • Chrome Extension: A companion extension extracts emails and social network links, listed separately on the Chrome Web Store.
  •

Pricing

Scrap.io sells four plans metered by monthly export credits, with each place counted once per 30-day period and credits that do not carry over:

  • Basic: $35 per month billed yearly, or $49 billed monthly. 10,000 export credits, city-level search, and up to 5 business types per search.
  •
  • Professional: $69 per month billed yearly, or $99 billed monthly. 20,000 credits, county-level search, 10 business types, and radius search up to 50 km.
  •
  • Agency: $139 per month billed yearly, or $199 billed monthly. 40,000 credits, state-level search, 50 business types, and radius search up to 100 km.
  •
  • Company: $350 per month billed yearly, or $499 billed monthly. 100,000 credits, whole-country search, 200 business types, radius up to 500 km, and polygon search up to 1,000,000 square kilometres.
  •

A seven-day free trial covering up to 100 leads is available without commitment, and annual billing cuts roughly 30 percent from the monthly rate.

Pros

  • Reaches Businesses Outside LinkedIn: Restaurants, clinics, trades, and other local operators appear on maps but rarely in conventional B2B contact databases.
  •
  • Fast First Result: A reviewer describes getting exactly the search results they wanted within minutes of starting the trial.
  •
  • Replaces Manual Collection: Reviewers cite the hours of manual data gathering it removes as the main reason the cost is justified.
  •
  • Precise Area Targeting: Polygon and radius search allow coverage of a specific district rather than a whole administrative area.
  •
  • Automation Friendly: A REST API and MCP server let lists feed CRMs, scripts, or AI agents without manual exporting.
  •
  • Clear Compliance Position: Collection is limited to publicly available business data, with sources traceable and GDPR and CCPA compliance stated.
  •

Cons

  • Broad Category Results: A reviewer notes that some categories return large, general result sets and asks for keyword filtering to narrow them.
  •
  • Cost at Volume: Reviewers describe pricing as steep for advanced features and high-volume scraping, particularly for individuals and smaller businesses.
  •
  • Credits Do Not Roll Over: Unused export credits are lost at each monthly reset, so uneven usage wastes allowance.
  •
  • Capability Gating by Tier: Country-wide search and polygon drawing appear only on the Company plan, and radius search is absent from Basic.
  •
  • Business Records, Not Named Buyers: Exports return business-level listing data rather than named decision-makers with job titles.
  •
  • Small Verified Review Base: The 4.9 G2 average rests on five reviews, which is thin evidence relative to the user numbers the company reports.
